Codex Alimentarius

As some might know, already, I am always searching the latest for improving life and health. Recently, I stumbled on the following video by Lima E. Laibow, M.D. on Codex Alimentarius which kind of shocked. Shocked, because, living in Switzerland and being in the so-called health business, I have never heard of Codex Alimenatarius (only some discussion on vitamins which is part of it). So, I googled on this topic and had to realize that our country is in the process of ratifying it or did this already, if I understand correctly. Well, not really a problem, maybe... The questions that arose for me, however were: Why are people in the U.S. more active in such matters? Why do my fellow practitioners not discuss such things? Why did I not hear in the Swiss and other German speaking media about this?

Well, maybe I missed it or maybe I am just a loner interested in such, as I see it, matters of importance for human beings? For those of you who want to take the time and watch the video, here it is:
